In 1983 I followed an industrial ceramics course at the STOK (Foundation for Ceramics Training) out of curiosity, the interest was aroused but the professional career took me elsewhere.
In 2021 I rekindled my interest in ceramics with great pleasure and further professionalized my hobby with a course in "wheel throwing" and "ceramics handbuilding" at the NKO (Dutch Ceramics School) in Gouda, supplemented with various specializations for turning, decoration, kurinuki, nerikomi and glaze.
The different forms of ceramics are reflected in my work and I try to combine them with fine wood work and metal work.
